Annie Ruth is the daughter of the late James Emmett and Erma Arrington McBrayer of Tift County, GA.

AMERICUS (GA)— Annie Ruth McBrayer Green, 72, of Americus, formerly of Tifton, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church. The Rev. Silas Carver will officiate with burial to follow at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Dustin Taylor, Phillip Giddens, Christopher Lyninger, Larry McBrayer, Randall McBrayer and Steve Ruis will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Green was born on April 2, 1938, in Tift County and was the daughter of Emmett McBrayer and Erma Arrington McBrayer, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her two husbands; and two brothers, Buford McBrayer and Roy McBrayer. She was retired from Shaw Industries, where she was a twister operator. She was of the Holiness Baptist faith.

Mrs. Green is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Earl Giddens and Vicki White of Americus; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon and Jimmy Brown of Smithville, Pamela Giddens of Tifton and Kathy Green of Cleveland, Tenn.; one sister, Shirley Ruis of Moultrie; seven grandchildren, Kim Lloyd, Lynn Taylor, Phillip Giddens, Brad Green, Kendra Green, Christopher Lyninger and Zach Lyninger; seven great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Joy Cross of Americus.
