Bessie Lee McBrayer Boyer

Bessie Lee Boyer, 63, of Parkersburg (WV), died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Boone County, a daughter of the late Lewis and Eula (Morrison) McBrayer.

She was a homemaker and attended Lighthouse Temple in Belpre. She enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.

She is survived by three daughters, Shelba Daugherty of Collinsville, Va., Russetta G. Naylor of Parkersburg and Teresa Biles of Parkersburg; one brother, William Russell McBrayer of Little Hocking; eight grandchildren, Chasity (Ben), David, Amanda, William, Joey, Ryan, Suzanna, and Dakota; fourteen great grandchildren, Russetta, Kaitlynn, Jocelyn, Sierra, David II, Hannah, Mackenzie, Joe-Joe, Davin, Brandy, Olivia, Adrian, Gabriella, and Jessy; several nieces and nephews and her buddy till the end BeBe.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, David H. Travis; second husband and love of her life, William H. Boyer; grandson, Tony Jason Daugherty; granddaughter, Brianna Dawn Naylor; and seven brothers and sisters, Lewis McBrayer, Hamilton McBrayer, Leonard McBrayer, Geraldine Hall, Hannah McBrayer, Betty Jean McBrayer, and Cecil McBrayer.

Services will be Monday 3 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Dan Tucker and Evangelist Jack Bell officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 3-6 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service.
