Carrie Louise McBrayer Ramsey

1917-2011

MANSFIELD, OH:

Carrie L. Ramsey, age 93, of Mansfield, OH, passed away at her residence Saturday evening, February 5, 2011.

On June 9, 1917 in Elkhorn, KY, Mrs. Ramsey was born to the late Luther and Bessie (Clark) McBrayer. She had been a resident and homemaker in Richland Co. most of her life. She enjoyed her family and making them her special biscuits and gravy.

On March 16, 1936 Mrs. Ramsey married James D. Ramsey Sr. who preceded her in death November 16, 2003 after 68 years of marriage.

Mrs. Ramsey is survived by three sons: James D. (Charlotte) Ramsey Jr. of Mansfield, OH, Billy R. (Melba S.) Ramsey of Cross Lanes, WV, and Larry (Sherry) Ramsey of Merritt Island, FL; three daughters: Judith Ann (James) Rogers of Cross Lanes, WV, Kelly (Jr.) Price of Cross Lanes, WV, and Kathey (Jerry) Mack of Ashland, OH; 20 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ramsey was also preceded in death by 11 siblings.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, OH, with Pastor Tim Storms officiating. Interment will be at Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
