Courtnie Renee Goldizen McBrayer

1974-2010


1974 - 2010

Courtnie Renee (Goldizen) McBrayer, 35, St. Joseph, Mo, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 5, 2010, at Heartland Hospital.

She was born May 31, 1974, in St. Joseph.

Courtnie married Robert McBrayer on August 21, 1993, in Savannah, Mo. She had worked at Silgan Containers and was a manager at the Stop N Go convenience store on St. Joseph Avenue. She was a 1992 graduate of Savannah High School and was a member of the Copeland Baptist Church. Courtnie was a very kind and loving daughter and was like a mother to many. She had a great love for people and animals.

Courtnie was preceded in death by her grandparents, George Emery and Rose Faye Goldizen, and Florence Renken.
Survivors: her husband, Robert McBrayer; a son, Dillon Leander McBrayer; a daughter, Hali Noel McBrayer; all of the home; her parents: Thomas and Beverly (Meyer) Goldizen, Savannah, Mo.; and Earlene (Renken) Mason, St. Joseph; brothers: Tommy Goldizen, Savannah, Mo.; Cody Goldizen and Amber Jansen, Flagstaff, Ariz.; sister, Megan Johnson, Edgerton, Mo.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Carrol Howard, St. Joseph; grandparents, Kenneth and Audrey Meyer, St. Joseph; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a niece, Baylee Johnson.

Celebration of Life: 4 p.m. Friday, April 9, Copeland Baptist Church, 21st and Walnut, St. Joseph. The family will receive friends 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at the church. Mrs. McBrayer has been cremated.

Memorial donations to Courtnie McBrayer Memorial Fund in care of Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MO.
