As most of you know there was a McBrair Family Association, Inc. Incorporated in 1988 in Georgia. Attempts are under way at this time to revise the bylaws and reform the association. Once we learn something more definite it will be posted on this page.

For some of you there has been a mistaken belief that the McBrayer Family Records and Archives and this website were a part of the McBrair Family Association, Inc. Although I have cooperated with the newsletter editor in the past to provide family connections and other information for In Defiance and have participated in membership of the association, I want to make it abundantly clear - the family records and this website are not owned or controlled by the association. These records were begun long before the idea of the family association was even a dream and will continue under my control. I have personally made ever effort to share this information and our family heritage with everyone in the past and will I continue to do so in the future - but ONLY on a private basis. This website is a privately funded endeavor and is controlled by me. (Carl McBrayer)
