Descendants of the McBrayer/Brier/McBryar name are spread around the world. It is our great fortune to have some of those who willing to send us stories of interest and of their areas. We should thank each of them for their contributions and encourage others to help as well.

Ireland - We have a new contact in County Down, Ireland, Nigel Carse, who married a McBriar, who has agreed to do some articles about Ireland and County Down. At the present Nigel is tied up with some research and will present his writings as soon as possible. Be sure to watch this page for his material. 

Scotland - by Madam (May) and Charles McKerrell of Hillhouse - Lochmaben, Scotland ---- May is a very close friend and family supporter. She is our 'cousin' in Scotland who has taken the time to have our famil tartan woven and registered and to whom this family owes a great deal of gratitude. Charles is the Cheiftain of the McKerrell of Hillhouse and sits on a board of healdry in Scotland. (no entries yet)

England - by Katherine Canfield - Norwich, England ---- Kathie is a descendant of Elisha David McBrayer of Tennesee. Kathie is our cousin in England who, on a recent (Sept 2010) research trip to Northern Ireland, discovered the missing information that connected our William McBrayer (immigrating ancestor) to his father, Alexander M'Brear/McBrear, of Killyleagh, County Down, Northern Ireland. Her work is much appreciated by all the family.
