June Lavern Mosley
1931-2011
(William Walton "Bill" Mosley is the grandson of Henry Walton McBrayer (1959-1936)).
June Laverne (Mcculloch) Mosley, Mangum, OK, was born February 18, 1931 to Jodie & Myrtle McCulloch. She passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the age of 79.
June was reared at Reed, OK and attended Reed School. She married Bill Mosley on January 16, 1948. They made their home in Reed, White Flat, and Lake Creek where she was a homemaker Her husband farmed and pastured the Sulphur Missionary Church at Reed, OK. They moved near Loop, TX, in September 1972, where her husband pastored the Ashmore Baptist Church for 20 years. In May 2000, they returned to Greer County and have made their home in Mangurn, OK. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Lubbock, TX, and attended the Sulphur Mission- ary Baptist Church at Reed, OK.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; two sons, Garland (Butch) Mosley of Lake Creek, OK; Randy Mosley and his wife Gloria of Snyder, OK; three grandchildren, Debbie Reed and husband Ivan of Chickasha, OK; Barry Mosley of Holdenville, OK; and Brandon Mosley of Choctaw, OK; five great grandchildren, Jordan, Luke, Conner, Walker, & Reagan of Chickasha OK,. She is also survived by five sisters. Doro- thy Sue Matthews, Garland, TX: Nita Patterson. Mangurn, OK: Jo & husband Elton Thompson. Reed, OK; Ramona and husband Claude Cooksey. Dumas, TX and Don & husband Neal Kerbo, Mangum, OK: and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jodie & Myrtle McCulloch.
Services were held on Tuesday, Februazy 15. 2011 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Mangum at 2:00 and were under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home in Lone Wolf, OK.
