(Does anyone have any information as to the connection for Kerrie Ann McBrayer? We know her grandfather was a Bill McBrayer who was married to Margaret Ann Seale, but who was her father? Was her mother a McBrayer? Any help would be appreciated.)

MCBRAYER, KERRIE ANN, age 31, of Birmingham, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bill McBrayer; and great-grandparents, Ted and Dixie Seale. She is survived by her grandmother, Margaret McBrayer; mother, Wendy Gainer; aunts, Christie Pridmore (Chris), Leigh Ann McBrayer, and DeLynn Cornelious (Eddie); and cousins, Tara McBrayer, Brent Pridmore, Cami Pridmore, Vann McDonald, Jody Costa, Tina Dixon, Tammy Burns, Jacob Cornelious, Nikki Costa, and Nicholas Costa. Kerrie was our special angel and loved by all. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Ridout's Trussville Chapel from 5-7 PM. There will be a graveside service on Monday, February 1, 2010 beginning at 2 PM at Liberty Cemetery in Royal, AL.

An email received from Tara McBrayer, Birmingham, AL, on 28 April 2011 helps to clear some of the questions on this individual. We know the grandfather was Billy Samuel (Margaret Seale) McBrayer. Here is her email:

Kerrie is my first cousin and a very huge part of my life.
 
Her father was never a part of her life so we didn't feel the need to put him in the obituary.
As far as her mother (Wendy Gainer) she is not a McBrayer.
Her mother ( Margaret McBrayer (Seale)) and my grandfather Bill McBrayer (her stepfather) adopted her at a very very young age because she became ill with Menangitis and it left her physically and mentally handicap.
So my grandparents took care of her until my grandfather passed away in 2003 (I believe was the year) then we put her in a nursing home becaue my grandmother was not physically able to take care of her on her own.

Further research reveals that Kerry Ann (Gainer) McBrayer was the granddaughter of Margaret Seale (by a previous marriage). Her mother was Wendy Yawn Gainer, but when she was adopeted by Billy Samuel and Margaret Seale McBrayer her name was changed to McBrayer.
