LaFAYETTE Mr. Lee Roy Ballinger, 78, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will sadly be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of the Church of the Living God, also was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Roper after 12 years of service and then help start Ballingers Recycling.

Preceded in death by his son, Noel Wade Ballinger; parents, Roy and Liddie Roach Ballinger and brother, Clarence Hiram Ballinger.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Crystal Ellison Ballinger; daughter, Christie Ballinger; sons, Eric Ballinger, Joseph "Joe" and wife, Cathy Ballinger; sister, Bobbie Jean Brown, of Trion; grandsons, Joseph Matthew, Rusty, Daniel and David Ballinger, all of LaFayette; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside service at 2 p.m. Monday at the Estelle
Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Randy Ballinger, Johnny Hill, Clyde Ellison, Justin Hughes, Randy Weaver and Bobby Ellison.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.

The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
