Marguerite M. McBrayer, 83, passed away October 2, 2010 in Lake Mary after a long struggle with diabetes.

She was born in Jacksonville, Fla. on October 11, 1926. She lived in Sanford for 54 years and operated a business, Lake Mary TV, with her husband until they retired in 2006.

She is survived by Douglas R. McBrayer, her beloved husband of 50 years; daughter Janet Grant of Orange City, and Linda Manning of Walnut Creek, California; son, Robert McBrayer of Sanford; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetic Association or to a charity of your choice. At her request, a private family memorial service will be held after the cremation with the remains to be held at the Cremation Gardens in Gotha, Fla. Date yet to be determined.

Brisson Funeral Home, Sanford, is in charge of all arrangements.
