This endenture made the eleventh day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine between Samuel McBrayer of the county of Buncombe and state of North Carolina on the one part and James McBrayer of the county and state aforesaid or the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said James McBrayer at and --- the signing and delivering of these presents, the receipt where of to hereby acknowledged hath bargained, sold, en....... And confirmed that the said James McBrayer, his heirs and assigns for xxxx tract or part of a tract containing one hundred and fifty acres it being one half of a tract of three hundred acres patented by said Samuel McBrayer at the west end of said tract or part of land lying and being the county aforesaid. To have and to hold the said with all and singular the appurtainances there unto belonging on any xxxx apportaining the said tract of land or part of the above tract containing one hundred and fifty acres lying on the fork of Cane Creek and at the place called the bluff and including the plantation where said James McBrayer now lives beginning at a white oak on the north side of and the place called the bluff on said creek and running up for compliment bounded as following on the west by David miller line on the north by Swanannia Mountain and runs north along Willis line one hundred poles to a stake thence east two hundred and forty poles and forty poles to a conditional line made by the said McBrayers thence along said conditional line south one hundred poles to the south line. Thence along the south line two hundred and forty poles to the beginning. Which said land the said Samuel McBrayer hereby warrant and forever defend from himself, his heirs, executors and administrators unto James McBrayer, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns for ever and from every other claim whatsoever contrary to the true intent and meaning of these presence.
