Copies of some of the original records of Northern Ireland - dating back to 1701.
These records have been shared by a family cousin from Georgia, Emily Murphy, who lives in Ireland. Emily traveled to the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) on Monday, June 13, 2011, to research the old records for the family. Although she didn't discover much in the way of new information, she was able to make copies of some of the old handwritten records from the 1st Presbyterian Church of Killyleagh, NI. Emily reports that three different versions of these old records were located. "One looks like the original or a very old transcription (MIC1P53/4/)(shown below). Another is a more recent hand written transctiption (MIC637/4), and another typed transcription of the original or oldest copy (MIC1P/53/1)"
It is with sincere appreciation to Emily for her cooperation and time that these records are posted for others to see. Emily has provided actual records of some of the information that was provided by Kathy Canfield when she discovered this information last year - leading to the discovery of our immigrating ancestor's father - Alexander McBrear/McBrayer - and putting our genealogy back another generation.
Below are copies of those handwritten records that have been provided by Emily!
