Ty Cobb McBrayer

1926-2011


Mr. TY COBB McBRAYER, 85, of Fayetteville, died January 2, 2011. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parent Lester & Lilla McBrayer and two brothers Grady McBrayer and Troy McBrayer. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Florine McBrayer; three daughters Mickie & Alan Haney of Locust Grove, Brenda & Jim Hall of Fayetteville, and Tina & Gary Varnadoe of LaGrange; son Mike & Kathy McBrayer of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Elmore of Satsuma, FL as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Overton Chapel of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Rev. Glenn Stringham will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Carl J Mowell & Son, Fayetteville-www.mowellfuneralhome.com.
