MCBRAYER, WALTER R. (BUBBA), age 60, of Carbon Hill, AL, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010. He is survived by his wife Tammy McBrayer, one son, Tony McBrayer, one daughter; Tammy McBrayer Adkins, step-children; Brittany and Christopher Wilson, his father; Walter McBrayer, two brothers; Robert McBrayer and Brad M. McBrayer, and one sister; Brenda (Sherman) Frederick. He worked numerous years at Norfolk Southern Railroad as a signal repairman. He had a great love for NASCAR racing and at one time worked for the Doug Reid Racing Team at BIR. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to his two wonderful caregivers; John Fish and Betty Allred of Carbon Hill, AL. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Hindman, Roger McBrayer, Tim Lewis, John Fish, Sherman Frederick and Randy Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Irvin and Keith Jones. The officiating ministers will be Bro. Randy Kennedy, Bro. Shane Coppock and Bro. Alton Pittman. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Valhalla Funeral Home on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
