William Patrick McBrayer

1944-2011


WILLIAM PATRICK McBRAYER, 66, of Hurricane passed away in Hubbard Hospice House after a 12-year battle with Alzheimer's.

He was retired from the WV Department of Civil Service, member of Forrest Burdette Memorial Methodist Church, member of the Chancel Choir Bell Ensemble and Recorder Consort and he also sang in the WV Symphony Chorus and played upright bass for many occasions.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda McBrayer; sons, Nathan and his wife Lori of Bridgeport, David of Hurricane, and John of Hurricane; grandchildren, Caitlin, Ashton, and Gabriel; and sister, Lucile McBrayer of Florahome, Fla.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Forrest Burdette Church in Hurricane. His body was donated to Marshall School of Medicine.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
